S&OP process implementation

Emirates Steel, based in the Industrial City of Abu Dhabi, UAE, is the nation’s largest steel and building materials manufacturer. The company produces a diverse range of products including rebar, wire rod, heavy structural sections, and steel sheets, along with cement, blocks, pipes, and dry mortar for construction industries.

Challenge
The company started with implementation of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) supported by software from Anaplan. The question was how to effectively incorporate this new tool within their processes effectively and how to develop their organization. We conducted a comprehensive assessment of their S&OP maturity, focusing on both the underlying processes, organization and the Anaplan S&OP software.
