Challenge
The product portfolio increased in complexity by increased number of skus and higher rotation of phase in/phase out. The current way of planning was push where pull was required. The issues faced where high stock, stock outs and risk of write offs which can be solved by supply chain planning enhancements. We were asked to assess the current state/maturity of their S&OP process, development of a roadmap and manage the implementation.

What we did
- S&OP assessment by reviewing their current state of critical KPI’s (stock level, service level, forecast accuracy/bias) and interviews with key stakeholders of their planning process
- Review of their current tooling landscape
- Delivered a plan to implement a tailored S&OP cycle with common steps (demand planning, portfolio review, supply planning, S&OP meeting)
- Developed agenda’s, roles and responsibilities, required reporting/tools to facilitate these S&OP meetings
- Trained the team how S&OP works for their organization and attended/coached the S&OP meetings for four runs in time and within budget during a running operation
