Parcel distribution tender

Ubiquiti International Holding B.V., based in Son (the Netherlands), is part of a global technology company specialising in networking, wireless, and IoT solutions. With a growing international customer base and expanding distribution activities, the company aims to ensure reliable and efficient parcel delivery across Europe.

Challenge

To support its continued growth and evolving customer expectations, Ubiquiti initiated a review of its European parcel delivery setup. The objective was to assess current logistics arrangements, explore market options, and identify opportunities to align service capabilities, delivery performance, and cost efficiency.

Solution and deliverables

4Supplychain supported Ubiquiti in designing and coordinating a structured carrier selection process (RFI/RFQ) to select the most suitable parcel delivery partner:

  • Collected and analysed responses from potential carriers across Europe
  • Conducted qualitative and quantitative evaluations covering service levels, lead times, and cost structures
  • Developed an evaluation framework and shortlisting approach for further assessment
  • Facilitated internal alignment on criteria, methodology, and next steps toward final selection

This structured selection process enabled Ubiquiti to make an informed decision based on a transparent cost–service comparison, laying the groundwork for a more efficient and scalable European parcel delivery network.
