In addition to S&OP management, we also offer support in fulfilling roles linked to S&OP like interim demand planning, interim production planning, and supply planning. These positions can be challenging to fill in the current market and may require different profiles when significant changes are necessary.

Here are some common scenarios where we’ve recently supported clients:

  • Interim demand planner: Our clients reach out to us to get support on operational aspect of demand planning including enhancements. An example can be to set up necessary tools if they are lacking. It might be a significant portion of your portfolio can be forecasted statistically. Another crucial aspect is the process. Do you discuss promotions and consult account managers in the S&OP cycle? Are there reports and dashboards to support this process? How to feedback demand plan including scenario’s into the S&OP cycle and hence to management. We can assist with these questions and implement changes accordingly.

  • Interim production planning: Crucial role to determine what to make in order to reach a good service level with appropriate stock levels. It can be a complex job determined by number of production lines, products, components, lead times, etc. Customers reach out to us for temporary support but also to improve this part. Whether is to structure processes in their ERP or planning software or to improve input of these roles within an S&OP cycle like the RCCP.

  • Filling crucial roles: If your company needs temporary help, we can take over key positions.

How we work:

Four steps to a suitable candidate

In our extensive network there is always a candidate who is well suited to fill your supply chain vacancy on an interim basis. To find the best candidate for you, we take the following four steps.

1. Profile

In a meeting with you, we draw up a profile for the ideal candidate. We discuss what expectations you have of the candidate in terms of experience and personality, the tasks he or she will perform and the scope of the position. We discuss what challenges there are within your company's supply chain, what the industry-specific challenges are, and whether there are certain changes that need to be made.

2. Introduction

We look for the best match within our team or our extensive network of independent professionals. We then provide you with the profiles of the most suitable candidates.

You will meet with the candidates and select the candidate who best fits within your team.

3. Onboarding

We coordinate the onboarding process and together ensure that the new interim professional has a successful start within the supply chain team in your company. In doing so, we align expectations and put concrete agreements and goals on paper.

4. Success

During a periodic follow-up we discuss how the candidate is performing in the interim position. Are you satisfied, is the professional satisfied and are the objectives met? Together we will ensure that the interim period runs successfully. Are you still not satisfied? Then we will decide together how to improve the situation.
